I don't know about you, but I love BBQ (aka, Bar B Que or Barbecue). One of the things I enjoy about BBQ is the regional differences. The BBQ in Texas is different than BBQ in Memphis, Kansas City, North Carolina. You are almost certain to start a lively conversation in any BBQ restaurant by asking how their BBQ is different than that from another state. The restaurants, food, and conversations are a great way to connect with people across this country.
Whenever I travel, I spend some time checking online to see if there are any BBQ restaurants in the area and try to visit them. I have an upcoming trip to the Texas Hill Country (the central part of the state) and started doing some Google searches. I quickly found a great article from Texas Monthly magazine with their list of the Top 50 BBQ restaurants in Texas. Jackpot!
