You should be aware of a scam letter which may arrive in your mail.
The letter is from a company called WebsiteBackup and appears to be an invoice for $70.00 for "Website Backup Service Plan - WebsiteBackup Pro". The return address is Camelback Rd, Phoenix, Arizona.
We believe the letter is a scam which uses a common technique: a bad actor purchases a list of every company or individual who registered a domain name, then sends each an official looking invoice. Since the letter looks official, many people unwittingly pay the amount.
What Should You Do
Throw the letter out.
If you have a time, contact the state Attorney General or Consumer Complaint office and file a report.
If you received and paid the invoice, I recommend you contact the company and demand a refund.
If you think you might, just might, actually have a contract with the company, contact them and ask for written proof of your business relationship. Do not provide any information beyond what they have printed on the letter.
If you require further assistance or information, please don't hesitate to contact Intersites. We are glad to help.
